Objectives

To
document and report the experience of African American students and families
in schools, colleges, and informal education settings.

To
provide information about educational options, enabling African American
students and their parents to make well-informed decisions about schooling.

To
increase the variety of settings in which African Americans are educated, in
the United States and abroad, accommodating more effectively their diversity
of experiences and learning styles, and reflecting more appropriately
research on teaching and learning, and the breadth of opportunities for
learning.
