Spring 2012 Internship Description
The Intern must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, either of African-American descent or attending a Historically Black College or University. Although much of the work can be done remotely, the student should be available to meet once per month during the internship, either in Durham, NC or Fayetteville, NC. The intern reports to Executive Director. His/her responsibilities may include any of the following:
- Process and perform initial screening for memorial awards
- Work on grant proposals
- Assist in program activities
- Assist in public relations work
- Find and organize news articles for website
- Find and organize online resources related to AAERO's work
- Assist in the planning and organizing of Board meetings
- Administrative tasks, including filing, responding to emails and putting together mailings.
